#1 seed Chatham hosted Hoosic Valley in the Section II quarterfinal playoff. The first inning told you all you needed to know about this game. Tate VanAlstyne led off the bottom of the first for Chatham with a home run. Pitcher Matt Thorsen would follow it with a walk, which he converted into a run with a stolen base and a pair of errant throws. And that pretty much summed it up for the afternoon. Chatham earned an 8-0 win.
