Very likely, this game was the end of an era for me.

My son has always been into sports and for awhile, it seemed like he was determined to try them all. Football, baseball, basketball, soccer, volleyball. All got a shot of at least a season. But soccer was the one he returned to after trying all the others. And when I quit my day job to be a photographer, I filled the free time with shooting his soccer teams. It expanded rapidly outward from there but it started with him. And now he’s graduating. Never say never but this could have been his last travel team and if so, this was the last game. I’ll keep on shooting without him as heads off to college for new challenges. But this is where it began and I’d be lying if I said it doesn’t make me sad to see the end of it.

Oh yeah, the Dutchmen won 2-0.
