The Chatham Panthers started their title defense with a quarterfinal matchup of Stillwater. Panthers starter Tyler Kneller would pitch a complete game 14 strikeout effort while adding a two run homer of his own. First baseman Cam Granato went 4 for 4 and shortstop Matt Thorsen would hit a grand slam in the sixth to crack the game wide open. Chatham walked away 11-2 winners. They move on to the semifinal against Patroon rival Maple Hill on Monday at 7:30pm at Veteran’s Park in Saratoga.
