The Birds

This is a collection of bird photos from the last couple weeks. Most of them were taken at Ooms Conservation Area during some morning snowfall. The rest were taken looking out the windows of my house at the many feeders I have positioned just outside for this very reason. It also keeps my cat Dude happy during the winter. This lineup includes downy woodpeckers, chickadees, blue jays, house finches, a tufted titmouse and surprisingly a robin. I never see them around my house in the winter so I assumed they migrated south. A bit of research tells me that they do migrate, but only a few miles. So it’s entirely possible that the robin I spotted summers in my yard.
