Ichabod Crane gathered their championship basketball team together for one last honor, the handing out of their championship rings. The coaches shared their memories and feelings of the journey to the championship. Former Representative Chris Gibson, an Ichabod alumnus himself, spoke to the team and their families. A slideshow of photos showed that last game and gave way to a series of videos of the players being interviewed, in action during the big game, celebrated by the NYS Senate and arriving home to the school in a parade of police and fire trucks. It was a lovely ceremony and I was delighted to be invited to be there and finish out the journey with this amazing team.
