This was one of the busiest games I’ve ever shot. Before the game was Senior Appreciation Night, when Taconic Hills honored its senior soccer players in their final season. At halftime, the school honored coach and teacher Dean Atwood, who is currently battling colon cancer. Hundreds turned out in blue shirts that were used to raise funds for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, along with a 50-50 raffle and a raffle for a copy of the beautiful wooden American flag he was given in the ceremony. And of course, the actual soccer game, in which Taconic Hills shed their traditional orange jerseys for blue ones redubbing them Atwood’s Titans. The Titans would win the game, 3-0.
