Wildcats Practice

I stopped by Wildcats practice today. My main goal was to test out a newly arrived lens but talking to their coach I was reminded of this group's importance. Football is an insanely complicated game. It's pretty rare a kid can walk on to a team late in high school and become a star. Usually they need to spend a lot of years developing skills and instincts. And that's exactly what this team provides. My son Aiden starts his college career today at UCONN. He started playing sports with the Wildcats at five and has played one sport or another pretty much continuously ever since. He's not going to be a professional athlete but that was never the point. He's a better person for learning the value of hard work and dedication.
