Greenwich vs Chatham

Chatham and Greenwich met up in Mechanicville for the class D Section II semifinal. Chatham leaped out to a quick 7-0 lead and looked like they were going to run away with it. But then a host of penalties stalled them and Greenwich established a punishing running attack to close out the half with a 14-7 lead. Momentum shifted suddenly in the second half when miscues by Greenwich’s special teams gave Chatham possession deep in Greenwich territory on back to back series. Chatham took full advantage and roared away to an eventual 43-21 win. They move on to the championship game next Saturday against Cambridge-Salem in Schuylerville at 1pm.
