This is the core of the Milky Way galaxy rising over the Adirondack great camp known as Sekon. I shot for a bit over an hour, perched on the very end of a boat dock. Despite being there for a week, this was the only clear night and it was a beauty. The air was crisp and cool and the loons were calling out the entire time. It was only a desire for bed that drove me back in the house. I could easily have stared at this sky for hours otherwise.
