Stillwater vs Chatham

The other side of the night’s basketball double bill was a matchup of Stillwater and Chatham, schools that don’t normally see each other but have crashed together twice in sectional soccer action in the last month. And this one lived up to that high standard. This was a surprise early start for Chatham, so they clearly weren’t in rhythm to start the game, falling behind by as much as sixteen in the first half. The second half was another story. Chatham found its groove and started grinding away at Stillwater’s lead, despite a couple starters sitting on the bench in foul trouble. Chatham would actually take the lead in the fourth quarter, then lose it, regain it and ultimately fall short of the comeback 51-55.
