For the last half dozen years or so (minus a couple pandemic years), my family has been going to Fan Expo Boston each summer. Growing up an obsessive Star Wars fan and Marvel zombie, this was a natural for me and I managed to infect my kids with this as well. Bring together a collection of artists, celebrities and dealers of collectible goodies and season with thousands of costumed fans and you have a pretty fun time.

And this year, I joined in the cosplay fun with a suit of armor I’ve been working on for a couple years now. It’s based on the tank troopers that appeared in the Star Wars movie Rogue One. It’s still not finished but it had advanced to the point where I could wear it.

I couldn’t move or see particularly well in this outfit so taking pictures myself was out of the question, so I only have a couple shots from my wife and one from Instagram. But of course I took a bunch of shots of other cosplayers when I was out of costume.
