Beekmantown vs Adirondack

December 3, 2022

Section II’s first ever girls varsity hockey team, the Adirondack United, played their first home game of their inaugural season at the Glens Fall Rec Center. The program combines players from six schools, who have only been able to play club or travel hockey prior to this. And if you think a new program might struggle a bit, you’re in for a shock. Their first game was a 2-1 overtime win over defending state champs Skaneatles. And in today’s match, they overpowered Beekmantown 10-1.

There aren’t a ton of photos unfortunately. We arrived in the third period because apparently I can’t read a schedule. And if one player seems a bit over represented, it may be that’s she’s my cousin and possibly the reason we traveled so far to see them play.
