Chatham vs. Coxsackie-Athens
Game one of the season. Thanks to the pandemic, the season was starting late and cut in half. And yet, we were pretty happy anyway because it felt vaguely normal. The game was played under the lights, a rarity for Chatham. This year though, with football sidelined, soccer got the opportunity to take center stage.
Chatham had not yet gelled into a team, leading to a sloppy effort against a very focused and organized opponent. I found this to be a tough field to shoot on. The light wasn’t spectacular, we were not close to the field and I was still shooting on a manual lens. I still came up with plenty of good shots but it was work.
