Catskill vs Chatham

May 13, 2022

Catskill and Chatham traveled to the Columbia-Greene Community College campus to play for the Patroon Conference Championship. Catskill leaped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning. But they wouldn’t be able to figure out starting pitcher Tyler Kneller for the rest of the game and Chatham’s offense relentlessly scored run after run. Trailing 10-1 in the top of the seventh, Catskill finally chased Kneller from the mound after he hit a batter. They scrapped for a brief one run rally before reliever Tate VanAlstyne slammed the door on them. This was Chatham’s second Patroon Championship of the school year, with the girls softball team adding a third almost simultaneously over in Valatie.
